At our garage sale this weekend, I did not get so carried away trying to meet my sales goals that, when someone asked if we had an infant car seat and base for sale, I seriously considered selling Nolan's right out of our car -- even though we don't have anything to replace it with. I wasn't me who was very thankful that Bob walked outside with a good dose of sanity.
And when people requested other specific items, it wasn't me who also considered selling our recliner right out of our family room, our baby monitors, rings out of my jewelry box and a bunch of clothes out of my closet. I'm not the type of person who gets carried away like that. Nope, not me.
It also wasn't me who, in desperation, buckled my baby into his thankfully-not-sold car seat and took him for a drive a few minutes ago -- just to get him to TAKE A NAP. After years of scoffing at people who had to resort to such measures, I would never be that hypocritical. It's not me who just realized that, with Nolan, it's a whole new ballgame.

The rules totally change the second go around! ;)
So true! Between the drop-off/pick-up of preschool and the rest of our busy life, the poor little guy hardly ever gets to fall asleep in his bed for naps. I think he forget how.
