Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday. This is my second week. I had a blast trying it last week, so it may be a reoccurring event here. Look out!

This blog carnival was created by MckMama at My Charming Kids. if you are ready for a good laugh, you can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone have not been doing this week.

As for me, my week was not filled with tons of things I would never do with my laundry. Nope. Not me!

For instance, I definitely don't ever pitch, hoist or chuck my dirty laundry piles over our half wall and down our basement stairs, letting them land willy-nilly everywhere along the way. Like on every third step. Or, if I'm lucky, in a huge pile at the bottom of the stairs. And even if I did, I would not leave them there in a crazy haphazard mess for days on end. I would never. I would always carry each load down in a sensible laundry basket, pre-sorted by color of course. Wouldn't you? Unless all my laundry baskets were not already occupied with last week's laundry -- still waiting to be put away. Not me, I'm very, very organized at all times.

I did not run out of clean towels due the laundry that was not piled up. I did not hop into the shower one morning, forgetting that I didn't have a towel. I was not forced to use one of Nolan's freshly washed baby towels. It was not an 18" square with a giant puppy face appliqued on it. And I did not find the situation extremely amusing.

And when I did finally gather up a collection of clothes from the great pile, I did not waste tons of water and time by forgetting to move them to the dryer until the next day. I did not have to rewash the whole load. And even if I did, I definitely did not forget about them again the next day and have to run them through yet another cycle. Who would do that? Not me!

I did not work so hard putting away the kids' out-of-season and outgrown clothes, packing them up and getting them in the garage (with the help of my awesome husband) that when Mother's Day morning came around, I did not have any clean clothes to wear myself. That would be a bummer. Especially because I did not want to look cute on Mother's Day. Luckily that did not happen, so I was not forced to grab a shirt off the floor and wear it anyway. I had definitely not already worn it. And had certainly not slept in it. I was not thankful for the bright magenta scarf that I organized around my neck as a distraction. And I did not receive several compliments on my outfit. That would have been really funny -- if it had happened. Thankfully it didn't, not to me.

I did not do any of these things. And even if I did, I have not been wondering how long I can legitimately use the excuse that I "just" had a baby.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who chucks her laundry down the stairs! I always wait for my hubby to take it to the laundry room....waiting....still waiting...he never gets the hint!

lol. I'm terrible at laundry, myself. If it were not for my husband, it may not get done at all sometimes. I'm a domestic mess. ;)

I admit I'm a laundry chucker myself. Only problem in our house is we have 3 flights of stairs. So I have to pick them up and throw them 3 times. You'd think I'd get a clue and realize it would take less time and energy to just walk them all the way downstairs the first time!
