It wasn't ice cream,

but I think he liked it.

Nolan has been eyeing our food for weeks now, jealously watching loaded utensils move to our mouths. We got the "ok" for cereal from the doctor last week, but then the poor little guy got sick so we had to hold off.

Tonight his eyes were coveting Bob's ice cream, spoonful by spoonful. Since he's been doing so much better today, less coughing and choking, we decided to indulge the cutie. It was just a little bit of very runny rice cereal, but he seemed to really like the experience. He readily opened his mouth for every bite and didn't spit too much out. By the end, he was sticking his belly out like a stuffed old man.

We went crazy with the camera to make sure we captured the moment. Matthew wanted to get in on the moment too. He came right over to see what was going on and to get in the pictures. He was in character as Matthew the Triceratops, a curious, happy big-brother dinosaur.

If he's anything like his daddy, Nolan will be graduating to Cold Stone before we know it.
